Today was the last day of an amazing school year! Thank you to our parents and our community for your continued support as we work together to guide students to their destinations after high school. Have a safe summer Camels!

In a thrilling end to our class tournament games, the seniors hit a buzzer beater to defeat the sophomores.
The Camel Stick was also passed down to the new leaders of the pep section. The class of 2026 has left a lasting impact and we can't wait for graduation on Monday!

We’re excited to once again offer the Summer Meal Program to our community! This opportunity allows all families to receive meals throughout the summer, at no cost and with no registration required.
Please see the attached flyer for program dates and details. Mark your Thursdays! At each pickup, families will receive a bag for each child in the household, packed with 7 days of breakfast and lunch. (On July 30, you’ll receive 10 days of meals.)
This program is open to anyone with children in their household. We’re hosting pickups at two locations:
Cline Elementary (5586 E Alexandria Pike)
Grant’s Lick Elementary (13290 Alexandria Pike)
We’re proud to support our students, families, and the community this summer! Thank you to all our staff who make this possible!
You are welcome to share this information with any neighborhoods, community organizations, churches, etc.
ALL can participate, including those not enrolled in CCS.

Another senior memory in the books! Today our seniors walked the halls of their elementary schools and handed out honorary diplomas to the one educator that made a lasting impact on their education. The Class of 2026 has been a wonderful class to watch the last four years and we are looking forward to their graduation.

Seniors shared where they are headed after high school with our commitment day celebrations. Our Camels will be heading all over the country to continue their education, join the military, or workforce. We couldn't be more proud of the Class of 2026!

The Class of 2026 showed up and had a great time at their project grad. Thank you to our community partners for your donations and the big group of parents and teachers that volunteered to help the night be successful. Our biggest appreciation goes to Mrs. Miles for coordinating another fantastic Project Grad.
Next up for the senior class: elementary walks, commitment day, and graduation!

Our annual tradition to celebrate another great year began today- the class tournaments. Freshman vs sophomores took the court with the sophomores victorious!
Students also helped raise money for Project Grad by purchasing tattoos for teachers. Thanks to Mrs. Thornton, Mrs. Abner, and Mrs Lechner for showing off their designs!

Huge congratulations to our students who scored a 1360 or higher on the SAT! Today, we celebrated their hard work, dedication, and achievement with lunch with the Principal. Thank you to Cold Spring LaRosa's for their hospitality.
These students have put in countless hours preparing, challenging themselves, and striving for excellence, and we are so proud of what they accomplished. Their commitment to growth and success truly reflects what it means to be a Camel! 🐪💜💛

Our football team has been working hard this spring and spent the week leading by example by helping our custodial crew around the building. That’s what being a Camel is all about: teamwork, leadership, service, and pride in our school community. Go Camels!

Our dedicated biomedical pathway students showcased their capstone projects tonight. Their four year commitment to studying biomedical sciences and participating in HOSA, have these future medical professionals highly prepared!

We are so proud of our FBLA students for representing our school at the Kentucky FBLA State Leadership Conference. Our members competed against students from across the state, demonstrated professionalism, leadership, and hard work, and brought home some amazing results. Congratulations to all the students that competed!

What a week in which our teachers were showered with appreciation! Thank you to our PTO and 7 Hills Church for their time and donations. Our teachers enjoyed food and treats all week! The highlight of the week was our Night of the Stars district awards ceremony. The following high school teachers were recognized:
Rachel Cooper, Sean Keating, Alicia Moore, Nick Little, Jordyn Rose, Dena Gosney, and Allison Fehribach.

Today was full of celebrations at CCHS. Our seniors participated in their senior bike ride to kick off their last month of high school! We also celebrated all students that had no missing work with an ice cream treat! Hard work pays off and should be celebrated! Great job Camels!

What a fantastic night at prom! The students had a great time and the chaperones made it possible.
Thank you to Student Council that planned a wonderful event!

This week, students took part in their Transition Defenses—a powerful culminating experience that highlights their growth and readiness for what comes next. Through these presentations, our seniors didn’t just check a box…they told their story.
Each student showcased how they’ve developed the Profile of a Graduate traits—communication, critical thinking, collaboration, resilience, and being highly prepared—while confidently sharing why they are ready for their destination beyond high school.
Sitting in on these panels is a reminder of what makes CCHS so special. Our students are thoughtful, driven, and prepared to make an impact. Their ability to reflect on their journey and articulate their future is something to celebrate!

Thank you to the Honorable David L. Bunning, United States Chief Judge, who asked CCHS to host the Naturalization Ceremony. He took time to answer questions from students and gave advice for them to always work hard to achieve their goals. Our band and choir performed with excellence for the event as well.
Witnessing the naturalization process firsthand provides a powerful connection to the study of government, citizenship, and civic engagement.

CCHS is proud to announce our 2026 GSP and GSA students this summer! We are proud of their hard work and dedication to excel. This rigorous application process started in the fall and for the arts, students had to audition and develop a portfolio. Way to go Camels!
