Ransomware Incident Notice

Campbell County School District was recently the target of a ransomware incident that impacted the availability and functionality of our computer network. Upon discovering the incident, we immediately took measures to secure our network and began an investigation. We also contacted law enforcement. Through our investigation, we determined that an unauthorized actor acquired certain files from our network. The files contained the names, Social Security numbers, and/or financial account numbers of certain CCSD employees.

On December 14, 2023, we are mailing notification letters to the individuals whose personal information was potentially contained in the files that were involved. Those letters contain instructions for notice recipients to enroll in complimentary identity monitoring services.

In order to help prevent a similar incident in the future, we have implemented and will continue to implement additional measures to enhance the security of our network. If you have any questions about the incident, you can call 888-983-0152 or contact us at 101 Orchard Lane, Alexandria, KY 41001.
