Title IX

Title IX Sexual Harassment

The Campbell County Board of Education intends that employees have a safe and orderly work environment in which to do their jobs. Therefore, the Board does not condone and will not tolerate sexual harassment of employees, students, or visitors to the school or District, or any act prohibited by Board policy that disrupts the work place or the educational process and/or keeps employees from doing their jobs.

Title IX of the Education Amendments 1972 (20 U.S.C. §1681 et seq) and its implementing regulations, "No person in the United States, shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance." Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, and its implementing regulation at 34 C.F.R. Part 106 (Title IX).

Any student, employee, or applicant for employment to Campbell County Schools who believes that they have been discriminated against on the basis sex shall bring the matter to the attention of his/her Principal/immediate supervisor or the District’s Title IX/Equity Coordinator as required by Board policy.

No employee will be subject to any form of reprisal or retaliation for having made a good-faith complaint under policy. For complete information concerning the District’s position prohibiting sexual harassment, assistance in reporting and responding to alleged incidents, and examples of prohibited behaviors, employees should refer to the District’s policies and related procedures.
