Principal's Message

We hope each one of you had a great summer (although shortened) and are ready to get back to business at the Campbell County Area Technology Center.  Our first day with students will be this Wednesday, August 11.  All students, regardless the opening day at your home school, will return on Wednesday with the exception of Bishop Brossart.  Your first day at the ATC will be on Thursday, August 12.

We are excited to begin this year on a regular schedule with all of our schools face to face.  We do have a few changes that we want to communicate.  First, we have hired a new Carpentry Instructor to take the place of Mr. Breetz who resigned at the end of the school year.  Jason Decker comes to us directly from the field where he was self-employed through Decker Restoration.  We look for him to pick up right where Mr. Breetz left off when preparing students in the field of construction and carpentry.

We have not formally introduced Shannon Noakes R.N., B.S.N. as our Health Science Instructor who took over mid-year in January.  She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our Health Science program as an RN who has served the St. Elizabeth Health Care System and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.  We have adjusted our Health Science Pre-Nursing Pathway to allow students to complete it in one year instead of two.  This is an exciting change to give students the opportunity to accelerate through the Pathway.

It is our intent to continue increasing strong relationships with community partners, employers, schools, and parents to offer our students opportunities to increase their skills and knowledge through Work Based Learning (Co-op).  This, along with the successful completion of a Career Pathway and Industry Certifications associated with it, will help our students become the productive citizens we intend for them to be upon graduating from their prospective high schools.

We will continue to practice our COVID Guidelines associated with:

  • Masks – universal masking while indoors
  • Physical Distancing – at least 3 feet in the classroom
  • Handwashing and Respiratory Etiquette
  • Quarantine and Contact Tracing
  • Cleaning and Disinfection

We look forward to a productive and successful year serving the students of our surrounding communities.
