Bowling Team Advances to KHSAA State Tournament

The Campbell County Boys Bowling team was the runner-up at the regional tournament and will advance on to the KHSAA State Tournament on February 13 in Lexington.  CCHS bowler Austin Hitt was the individual regional champion and will bowl in the KHSAA Individual State Tournament on February 12th in Lexington.   


Camels win 36th District Governor's Cup Championship

The Campbell County Academic Team swamped all opposition at the District Governor’s Cup at Brossart on Saturday, January 24th.

The team won 1st Place in Quick Recall, Future Problem Solving and every single competitor in written assessments or composition placed in the top 5 to qualify for the Regional. Sean Field took 1st Place in Math, Mitchell Turner placed 1st in Science, and Carly Taylor won 1st in both Language Arts and Arts & Humanities. Their scores all ranked at or near the top ten scores in the state. Colton Graham won 1st Place in Social Studies, ranking in the top 20 statewide. In Quick Recall, captain Drake Boling’s varsity team won all three matches, besting Calvary Christian 36-18, and beating Highlands by scores of 50-7 and 51-11. This was the 17th consecutive year that Campbell County won the 36th District championship.

Please take time to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid) as soon as possible.  The office of Federal Student Aid provides grants, loans, and work-study funds for college or career school.  Click on https://fafsa.ed.gov/  to be directed to the website.  It is imperative to complete the FAFSA sooner rather than later as Federal Funds are dispersed rather quickly.

Ski Club Trips

Since the ski season has been so great, Ski Club will take a 5th trip this year to Perfect North Slopes!  
January 30 -- 4th trip
February 6 -- 5th trip
Any student who purchased the club program 4-week lesson pass (and will have used it 4 times), may ski the 5th week by paying just $28.00 for lift, $15.00 for rental, and $9.00 bus (our discounted pay-as-you-go price). 

In case school is called off due to weather, trips will be pushed back a week. 

New skiers are welcome!  Any student who wants to try out skiing or boarding for the first time, can join us.  Ask in the media center for details or contact Christina Board

Bob Evans Community Fundraiser

Cline Elementary will be having a community fundraiser for their school at Bob Evans January 26th and 27th and February 2nd and 3rd. Bob Evans will donate 15% of sales to their school when you present the flyer. Please click here to view the flyer.

Band Students selected for 2015 KMEA District 6 NKY Select Bands

Congratulations to to our CCHS Band students for being selected to the 2015 KMEA District 6 Northern KY Select Bands! This is a very prestigious honor, and we are excited that these students will be representing Campbell County Schools at this event. Please come out and see them in concert on January 31st in the NKU Greaves Concert Hall!

Williams Appointed to Board of Education

Congratulations to Dr. Ted Williams for being appointed by the Commissioner of Education to serve in Division 4 of the Campbell County School Board.


Mills Is Published in Music Trade Magazine

Mikey Mills,  a junior at Campbell County High School, recently had a nine page article published in  the Automatic Musical Instrument Collectors' Association Bulletin. Mikey is also a musical arranger and has recently had music rolls cut to play on band organs and player pianos.  He is currently enrolled in Mr. Little's AP Music Theory, and  is actively involved in CCHS Drama Club.  Congratulations on a job well done, Mikey.  Your future is bright!


Kindergarten Registration Is Set

Kindergarten Registration will be held at all elementary schools on the following dates:

March 16th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and March 17 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Crossroads Elementary and Campbell Ridge Elementary will also host an additional registration date at their schools on March 18th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

We can't wait to meet our newest CAMELS!

Students selected for KMEA All State-Choir

The following students have been selected for KMEA All-State Choir. Over 2,000 students auditioned for the groups, and approximately 300 students were selected. These students will perform with the top singers in the state at the Kentucky Center for the Arts on Feb. 5, 2015.

Campbell County Receives 3rd National Ranking

In 2013, Newsweek Magazine listed Campbell County High School as one of the best public high schools in the nation based on strong academic and advanced placement programs. In the Spring of 2014, CCS received a second national ranking. The Washington Post ranked Campbell County High School as one of the most challenging high schools in the nation.  This week, Campbell County High School received a 3rd National Ranking.  The Daily Beast ranked CCHS 531 in the nation in its 2014 Top High Schools Report.  In addition to these national rankings, Campbell County Schools is also a "Distinguished” district on the Kentucky State Assessments.  Congratulations students and staff!
